Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red

Looking back at some of the highlights of 2014 one which stands out is the amazing installation of the Poppies at the Tower of London. The last couple of weeks of this installation were a frenzy of visitors, both tourists and Brits. Everyone wanting to see it for either the last time or first time.

On my second visit I became preoccupied with the Shadows at the Tower of London. It seemed part of the installation to capture the sense of people lingering for a last look at the tribute to Remembrance. Emotions resonated through the space, and the shadows seemed to linger in the same way as remembrance. A fitting tribute to the Blood Swept Lands and Seas of Red. Many lost, but not forgotten…always in memory…

I was proud to see and photograph the Poppies at the Tower of London.  Read about my first visit here, Poppies at Tower of London.
