June is a favourite month, warm, sunny and flowers are in bloom. We head out to discover landscaped gardens on a warm June day. The sweet scent of summer is everywhere and the flowers pop with colour. We sit and rest awhile, just enjoying our escape from the busy city life of London. We are the only people in the gardens and it is amazing to have it all to ourselves. Ron sits, while I walk around photographing flowers and plants. I make my way back to where Ron sits and love how he looks amongst the flowers. I decide to use f8 so that the flower background is not lost in a sea of diffused colour. I want to immerse Ron with flowers. His sunglasses look from the 70’s and the flower backdrop adds a touch of the 60’s. Loving the feel of the summer day I click the shutter and think of the good old days… mmm Summer Time!
