A helping hand getting everyone to the Greenwich Olympics Venue in time.

London Olympics 2012 Greenwich Equestrian Events

Greenwich is hosting several equestrian events in the historic setting of Greenwich Park.  The seating is almost complete and looks dramatic in the beautiful July sunshine.  The seating is vast and has taken months to install.  The equestrian events take place 29th July – 9th August.  Were you fast enough to get a ticket?  The construction is amazing – lots of shiny scaffolding supporting the huge seating structures.  Remember to take a pair of binoculars if you are sitting right at the top!

Photographers attending events should note that there is a camera length restriction limited to 30cm.  This is likely to include the lens attached!  Camera length longer than this and you will need a permit. Sounds like the same old story repeating itself time and time again.

Wishing you all a great Greenwich Olympics 2012.

Cutty Sark Greenwich London
Cutty Sark Greenwich London

The restoration of the Cutty Sark in Greenwich is now complete.  She stands proud in her glass topped setting, sailing the seas as the fastest tea clipper of all times. The Cutty Sark is now elevated so that we can see underneath as well as on top.  To see underneath you will have to pay to get into the museum.  Outside is just great for photographers.  Free too!

The Cutty Sark is spectacular, beautiful in design and ornate gold decoration covering its 94 feet length.  Those were the golden days of sea travel and trade.

All in all – Greenwich is Ready for the Olympics 2012
