I love the quiet which the Park brings to my day. As I walk I see this view which stretches across the Park. The mist is haunting as it slowly reveals the yellow leaves of Autumn behind its veil.
This is a view to linger on, taking time to see each nuance of colour, detail, atmosphere and sublime textures of this day.

Today in the Park I marvel at the vibrant bursts of colour; yellows, orange, reds and light green. Autumn is underway and as I walk I see leaves falling softly as the wind blows through the trees.

London is a fast moving city. The landscape and make up of this city is ever changing. Central London has had a huge development of luxury apartments and modern office space. The design of modern architecture is effortlessly sleek and I like the clean lines. Homes have also started to look like offices as clean lines are echoed throughout living spaces. (more…)
Seasons change and in the Park leaves turn golden and copper and I can see Autumn colours everywhere. This is a season I love to photograph especially when gentle mists blow in. Today the light in the Flower Garden is amazing. I make my way through the park looking for illumination…and I come across a planting of Irises which are temptingly still in bud. Their colours are just starting to show through their buds. Light is illuminating the whole of their surface (more…)
I can’t resist the Flower Garden as the summer flowers are about to bloom. Today the sun is shining and I know I can capture intense colours where green is greener than green! I love the sensation of rich deep colour as flowers burst through their pods to create the most stunning blooms. (more…)
Greenwich Park has awoken from a long sleep and is ready to burst with colour. Summer flowers are in bud and wait for the sun to finally bloom. The park is stirring with life and soon the air will be filled with scents. The Iris is still in bud. The form of the flower can just be seen as it grows from its stem. I love photographing mist. It is a time when few people are around as the damp, the wet and lack of visibility keeps them away. For photographers it is a time of reflection as it forces us to consider absolutely what we want to photograph and how much of it we want to see in our photographs.

There has been a change in the life of the Park. Today I noticed that buds are getting ready for their time to bloom. The Park has awakened from its winter sleep and is stirring with new life. This is an exciting time of change and one which I eagerly await. I love the life in the Park as she goes through her seasonal changes.
